What's the new ride at Chessington 2023? ›

We're thrilled to finally announce that the world's first JUMANJI themed land - 'World of Jumanji' – is set to open in Spring 2023. Sign up to find out more and for the chance to WIN tickets to visit the Resort in 2023 for you and your family when the new land opens.

Visitors under 3 years of age enter Chessington World of Adventures Resort free of charge and will therefore not need a local resident's ticket or pre-booked ticket. Visitors under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a person aged 18 years of age or over.

Timing - Generally it's best to do the biggest rides in the first hour that the park is open, at lunchtime, or in the last hour that the park is open, as the queues tend to be the shortest at these times. Plus, you can often beat the crowds by starting at the back of the park and working your way towards the front.

Save on Chessington tickets with an annual pass

With an annual pass, you receive a Chessington World of Adventures discount as well as the chance to save even more money. With a Gold Pass, you can: Visit as many times as you like in 12 months.

Built during the 2022 season, the new Bombay Express wooden roller coaster from Great Coasters International is now set to open in 2023.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is open all year so you can enjoy ROARSOME family fun from January to December. Our main season runs from March to October, with a WILD series of events throughout the year.

We do not accept entry into the park of children under 12 years old without an adult 18 years old or over. All those aged 3 years and over require an entry ticket.

The park is suitable for all ages, including families with young children. Most rides and attractions are only restricted by height. Smaller children usually have to be accompanied by an adult over 16 years old.

In this circumstance please bring along the payment card you used and a form of I.D such as a driving licence or passport. Once your booking has been found and we have confirmed the identity associated with the booking we can then print your tickets out for you.

You can get a free cup of water from our Food and Beverage outlets. Alternatively, you can purchase water bottles from our retail outlets.

How much are refill drinks at Chessington? ›

They do £1.99 cup refillable for 75p for merlin pass holders. £5.00 refillable all day for free. But not reusable again.

As well as being the highest roller coaster in the world, Kingda Ka also ranked among the leading roller coasters in terms of speed in 2023 with a maximum speed of 206 kilometers per hour. The fastest roller coaster in the world, however, was the Formula Rossa at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

During the main season, we aim to open all of the rides at the same time as the park (generally at 10am). There may be occasions when certain rides are unavailable - of course we try and keep this to a minimum. Please keep checking our Official Chessington App for all ride availability updates.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is an ideal day out for families with children. For the older adventure seekers, you've got rollercoasters like The Vampire and Rattlesnake, and for the whole family you have the Zoo and the SEA LIFE Aquarium to explore!

Is Chessington no smoking? ›

There are designated smoking areas spread through the park. Please view the Park Map for further details. Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is NOT allowed outside of these areas, particularly in ride queue lines.

Standard parking costs from £6 per car for Theme Park & Zoo guests. Pre-book online and save yourself time on the day. The car park is accessible just off Leatherhead Road and is conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk from the Explorer gate entrance. On site hotel guests get FREE parking.

This is actually pretty straightforward. Legoland is geared towards younger, primary school aged kids. Chessington is geared more towards middle school aged children, and Thorpe Park is for high school age and above. Again, go to the websites and have a look at the height restrictions.

You are not permitted to bring any food and/or drink into the Hotel and only food and/or drink purchased at the Hotel can be consumed whilst in the Hotel.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is Britain's Wildest Adventure, so it's inevitable that there will be days when it is busy. However, with a bit of planning, you can still have the most amazing time!

There isn't a weight restriction just limited to around 52 inches on the chest. over a year ago. As far as I know there is no weight limit but many rides have a 51 inch chest restriction . They have trial seats at the entrance so you do not need to line up only to find you don't fit in the harness.

Each ride has its own height restriction ranging from 0.9m to 1.4m minimum. Please also note adventurers under 0.9m can enjoy multiple attractions accompanied by an adult over the age of 16. Some rides need smaller Adventurers to be accompanied by an adult.

Lockers are available to rent for the day in Adventure Point behind the Gift Shop, Wild Woods by Vampire, Land of the Dragons by Dragons Fury and Land of the Tiger by Tiger Rock. You are welcome to return to your car too - remember to get a hand stamp as you leave the park so that we'll let you back in.

Can you do Chessington in the rain? ›

Perks of visiting on a rainy day: FREE return visit within 12 months! (if it rains continuously for 1 hour or longer) Visiting when the weather isn't so good often means the queues are shorter.

The Drinks Refill Station is located within the Adventure Point area at Chessington World of Adventures. It is a small but convenient unit for visitors looking to quench their thirst or grab a quick snack.

The Refresh & Refill units at Chessington World of Adventures are a convenient way for guests to stay hydrated and refreshed!

We have a regularly stocked cash machine onsite. Find them in Adventure Point near Guest Help & Information and just by the ticket office at our Lodge Entrance.

You don't need a ticket for Chessington World of Adventures Resort to experience Go Ape, it is located in the Explorer Car Park.

Using your smartphone, Reserve & Ride allows you to wait the queue time for a ride virtually, freeing you up to visit other rides, shops, restaurants and more while you're waiting for your turn.

Chessington South station is located within Zone 6 of the London Travel zones and accepts Oyster cards.

Zambezi Zinger is Coming to Worlds of Fun in 2023

Please note, preparations for Zambezi Zinger continue and its opening is currently delayed. Learn more. Worlds of Fun has announced it is delaying the grand opening of Zambezi Zinger as the park works through final ride testing and prep work on the new roller coaster.

California's Great America on Thursday announced a new ride and themed section for the park's 2023 season. What was formerly the Action Zone area of the park, will be rethemed as NorCal County Fair, a “Bay Area backyard-inspired” section that will feature a new ride, Pacific Gliders.

One of the world's fastest single rail coasters, Jersey Devil Coaster, opened on June 13, 2021. Make your way to the park and great ready for maximum speed, twists and turns. This coaster hits 58 miles an hour with a 130-foot drop. Towering 13 stories high, this coaster takes riders over 3,000 feet of track.

Previously known as Dragon River, Dragon Falls was one of Chessington's first ever rides. It opened when the theme park first launched, along with Safari Skyway, Toadies Crazy Cars, the Runaway Train (now Scorpion Express) and 5th Dimension (which became Terror Tomb and is now Tomb Blaster).

Worlds of Fun Communications Director Brian McGannon confirmed to FOX4 five rides will be removed from the park this year. McGannon said the park is in the process of removing the Monsoon, Flacons Flight, Linus' Beetle Bugs, Snoopy's Yacht Club and the Peanuts Turn Tyke ride.
